Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps our head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more.

Another one of those situations, I thought I had rated this beer before. Obviously not so. A 12 oz bottle acquired at Mr. T's locally, I have it set up to pour inside of a tulip glass this evening. Pinkish red body with a small head of light pink foam. Very fruity in smell, not anything else that can get through. I lift the glass to take a drink. Raspberry for sure. For me just too much of that single flavor. In the day, Fort and Fruit-Full Fort hit more than one base, made them decent if not good. This one, not my thing.

Bottle at Boothill Saloon, Amersfoort. Thick raspberry aroma, yammy raspberry and raspberry syrup. Medium sweet with a little tartness. Fairly robust for a Fruit Beer. Likeable!

Reddish-pink in color with a small head. Aroma is mostly raspberry. Taste is raspberry, grains and some other weird flavor I can't identify but it's still good.
Well, everything is wonderful

Bottle picked up from Beer Republic webshop Berkel-Enschot Netherlands and consumed at home Friday 22nd December 2024 listening to Afrodeutsche on 6Music, we had Smash Burgers and Homemade Chips. Pours a reddish brown colour with not much of a head. The aroma is very much singing fruit beer, lots of raspberry.Smooth in the mouth, slightly sweet, there is a little tanginess, raspberries really dominate but it's a lovely beer.
Raspberries

Hazy brown color, small head. Smells fruity. Sour and sweet, like sweeter lambic. Medium to full body, short finish.

Bottle pour from Candia Road Convenience. Appearance is hazy raspberry red with nice sparkle, finger-width off-white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong sweet raspberries and yeast. Taste is strong sweet over tart raspberry and mild late yeast. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste. Overall, probably groundbreaking for its day. Strong raspberry and they manage to get a good balance of sweet and tart. Enjoyable.
