Pours a hazy dark brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee, yeast, dark dried fruits. Flavour is caramel, sugary sweetness. Nice Dubbel.

Bottle, drunk this dubbel at the Mug in Middelburg. A red-brownish beer with a thick head and a aftertaste with some herbs.

Bottle. Café ’t Arendsnest Amsterdam. Sugary sweet flavor with just a hint of roast. No detectable aroma. Clean, inoffensive but nothing special.

0.33 l bottle shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran. Thanks! Dark amber to brown, small off-white head. Cocoa nibs, chocolate müsli, dried fruits, fruit jam. Sweet. Medium body, abrupt finish. Good in style, but not spectacular.

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en licht zoet met iets van drop, donkere chokolade en karamel. Ietwat kruidig. Gewoon goed.

Bottle. Clear mid brown with a beige that’s soon less than a coat. Aroma of toasted grain, dried banana, prunes, mild spices. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not much in the way of a yeast presence and it seems a bit bald without it - prunes, some caramel, cloves and then off to a quite bitter finish. But its near-brusqueness has its charm too.

Pours murky brown from the bottle. A light tan head lingers for much of the duration. Aroma is sweet red grape juice, yeast and spice. Taste is brittle bittersweet without much overall depth. A touch of fruitiness, some yeasty bready notes, and then something like watered down pure alcohol. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Drinkable for sure but not particularly refreshing or exciting.
