33cl bottle from Bierzwerg. Poured dark brown with a thin beige head that does not last long. Aroma has some glue and rubber notes, some coffee and light sweet caramel and yeast. Flavor is yeast, caramel, rubber and coffee notes. Quite sweet. Alcohol pushing through later on. Not very enjoyable.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Clear dark brown colour, dense light beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, bitter chocolate, light coffee, dark fruits. Flavour is medium sweet, light floral, roasted malts, moccha, light chocolate/cocoa, bittersweet malty finish. Medium bodied. Well crafted dubbel, nothing spectacular, just really nice.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear nut brown, small head. Sweet and caramelly with medium body. Sticky and syrupy, simplistic and shallow. Like a parody of a US style attempt at a dubbel.

28/08/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 9/6/12 (2011-412)

Little cloudy red brown to purple beer, beige creamy head, pretty stable, somewhat adhesive. Aroma: fruity, caramel, dried fruits, sweet cherries, chocolate milk, strong alcohol, raisings, bit vinous even, wood. MF: little carbon, very thick creamy texture, medium body. Taste: roasted malts, mocha, bit of caramel, fruity, touch of banana, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: citric acidity, alcohol playing on the tongue, more caramel, dry bitter ending. Spot on! This beer combines the typical caramel sweetness and dried fruits which are key for a dubbel, but also keeps it interesting enough through the sour and bitter hops.

Bottled. An unclear red-brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and dusty hops. Thanks yespr for sharing.
