Milk stout is in a widely drunk beer in Great Britain, but it remains unknown in the Netherlands. This beer is full and malty in flavour, and also happens to have the lowest alcohol percentage of all the beers from our brewery. Milk sugar (lactose) is used to give this beer its distinct sweetness.

Bottle, 4.9%. Roasted aroma, coffee, dry liquorice. Black colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted, creamy, fruity and citric. Hard carbonation. Low to medium bitterness. Citric finish.
Well made. Rather simple and plain. Balanced and light and drinkable. De prael Amsterdam

33cl bottle from Brouwerij de Prael in Amsterdam. F: huge, tanned, long lasting. C: black, opaque. A: rich dark malts, bit bready, roasted tones, chocolate, bit spicy. T: medium malty base, dark malts, bit chocolate, coffee touch, lactic, medium carbonation, nice, enjoyed.
Pretty classical milk stout. Light, pretty roasty, and lactose giving it a bit more smoothness. Soft and easy, but a tad on the thin side.

Paper tagged on unlabeled bottle. Thanks Borresteijn! Deep dark brown color. Opaue. pear drups and roast in the aroma. Sour (!) flavor with caramel, roast and apple. A milk stout? It tastes more like a matured Flemish brown. I don’t ’know if it was infected or not or intentionally soured or not. But it like it anyway.
