Milk stout is in a widely drunk beer in Great Britain, but it remains unknown in the Netherlands. This beer is full and malty in flavour, and also happens to have the lowest alcohol percentage of all the beers from our brewery. Milk sugar (lactose) is used to give this beer its distinct sweetness.

Backlog August 2013. Black body under a fine, dense beige head. Aroma has dark malt with chocolate but unfortunately also hint of cooked vegetables. Taste is sweet and bitter malt with chocolate and coffee. Still drinkable, but will prefer to have it without the vegetables.

Tap at de Prael, Amsterdam: Black coloured brew with taste of roasted malts and hint of lactose-like sweetness.
Earlier Rating: 7/9/2011 Total Score: 3.3
Bottle with cork 0,75ltr: Opaque black brew with an slightly brown foamy head. Roasted malts taste with some sweetness due the lactose they used, its got a firm character for this 4,9%,

Pretty classical milk stout. Light, pretty roasty, and lactose giving it a bit more smoothness. Soft and easy, but a tad on the thin side.
