Bucanero Fuerte gets its name from old legends of the pirates that roamed the Caribbean Sea. Considering that Bucanero Fuerte is one of the best hidden treasures of Cuban beer, this connection is fitting. Strong and full-flavored, Bucanero Fuerte is made from the most natural and freshest ingredients, with superior malt and is blended with just a touch of Cuba’s finest sugars. Having more alcohol, a deeper amber color, and a refreshing taste makes Bucanero Fuerte a remarkably 100% original Cuban beer. Over the years Bucanero Fuerte has become a favorite amongst Cubans as a beer to drink with friends while playing domino’s or watching a baseball game. It is quickly proving itself to be a timeless classic. Bucanero brings the mystery and passion of Cuba in a golden beer, with a vigourous and robust flavour. Our ancient and secret production process combines the finest selection of hops, water and malt. Ingredients: water, barley malt, brown sugar, hops.

Dark golden colour. Alcohol comes through a bit, adding sharpness, but diminishes quickly and ends up being watery. Maybe a faint of chocolate in the aroma. Pretty boring experience.

Thanks Tyn for bringing this back from your holiday. Bottle @ home, shared with DutchDrebus. Decent white head on top of a clear yellow / golden colored beer. Smell malts and bitter. Taste is ok: malts and light bitterness. Average carbonation, low body.

Bottle from the Classic Deli a.k.a. the Dodgi Deli, Cowley Rd, Oxford consumed with my dad at home 20.09.11 Pours an orangey colur with a white slim head, soft in mouth. Its a fairly typical cheap lagery beer, sweet, corny, not the best but not desperately bad either. A5 A4 T4 P2 Ov9 2.4

Bottle courtesy of yespr - thank you sir! Clear yellow color, coca-cola style head that disappears in seconds. Aroma of celery and white pepper. Taste is watery malt with few hops, low carbonation, almost flat. Not the worst developing world lager. I feel very subversive drinking it - I hope it doesn,t affect my security clearance!

20/01 0.35 l can, courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing a new beercountry! It poured golden body with medium sized head. Malty, corny and slightly sourish aroma. Sweet honey flavor, sourish corny and also a bit dusty. Lighter body with shorter, boring corny finish. Nor refreshing nor pleasant, it’s pretty much useless, no matter there is nothing too much wrong here.

My best colleague in the world brought me this beer from Cuba, on which I thank her very much (there Nina, I said it :p :D). Shared with heavy. Poured a golden(ish) body witha small white head that went away fast. Pollen and light sweat in the otherwise light malty nose, maybe some corn too, light sour note. Bready taste, vaguely corny. Light herbal hop, light sour note. Ordinary, drinkable and correct macro lager that would probably be much appreciated in the Cuban heat, but doesn’t stand out from the crowd otherwise (except for the can design, which is very nice).
