Bucanero Fuerte gets its name from old legends of the pirates that roamed the Caribbean Sea. Considering that Bucanero Fuerte is one of the best hidden treasures of Cuban beer, this connection is fitting. Strong and full-flavored, Bucanero Fuerte is made from the most natural and freshest ingredients, with superior malt and is blended with just a touch of Cuba’s finest sugars. Having more alcohol, a deeper amber color, and a refreshing taste makes Bucanero Fuerte a remarkably 100% original Cuban beer. Over the years Bucanero Fuerte has become a favorite amongst Cubans as a beer to drink with friends while playing domino’s or watching a baseball game. It is quickly proving itself to be a timeless classic. Bucanero brings the mystery and passion of Cuba in a golden beer, with a vigourous and robust flavour. Our ancient and secret production process combines the finest selection of hops, water and malt. Ingredients: water, barley malt, brown sugar, hops.

Clear golden colour , not too much white head; aroma of grains, hay, floral hops and maybe some minimal tropical fruit, taste is dominated by malty sweetness with some floral hoppy notes; no side-taste, correct lager

Bottle, 0.35l. Clear golden color with medium frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of hay, citrus and cereals. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, follows by grassy and grainy acidity with spicy mouthfeel and moderate unpleasant bitter finish. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Too sweet and alcoholic...

Can split at my 40th bash at CBC Islo, thanks to Rilester for throwing this one towards me, 11/10/14. Very lightly hazed golden with a decent white covering. Nose is pale malt, straw, bready, faint citric. Taste comprises much the same, light cereal, pale malt, lemon drizzle, grainy, bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok pale lager, theres a lot worse out there!

Can shared during CR’s birthday. Pours clear yellow with a foamy white head. The nose has cereal, bread. Medium sweet flavor, more cereal, hints of paper. Light bodied with average, massaging crbonation. Pleasant cereal and grains to finish, minimal bitterness, faint hay. Fine.

0,35 l bottle from a local shop. Cubanero label. Clear golden in the glass, mid carbonation, short living white head. Like an old dish sponge on the nose. Starts smooth, little bit citrus. Nothing more. Who is responsible for shipping this lame stuff over the Atlantic? Nobody needs it and certainly not overpriced like this.

Had this as the most prominent alternative to Palma Cristal in and around Cuba back in 2001, but its availability was limited, probably as it was certainly a lesser lager than the aforementioned.

As Cubanero Fuerte:
Appearance: Clear golden, some white head.
Aroma: Sweet, malt, grains.
Taste: Sweet, grains, malts, slight metal. Nope, but would maybe be acceptable on a Varadero beach.
Bought: Drinks of the World (Basel), 350 ml, CHF 3.70
Info: 18/6-2014, 50/300M, BB: 12/10-2014
