Fra kran på Grünerløkka Brygghus i hyggelig selskap med Halvor. Svart. Middels høyt mokkafarget skum som daler sakte. God sjokoladearoma. Smaken lakris, sjokolade & litt kaffe. Innholdsrik. Ettersmak av kaffe.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is tobacco, some mild roasted notes, a bit alcohol, ripe fruits and some slight toasted notes. Flavour is toasted malts, some tobacco, ripe fruits, some mild toffee/fudge and a bit alcohol sweetness. Mellowly balanced. It’s a while since I last had an imperial stout this tobaccoish.

On tap at Craft, Clerkenwell Saturday 7th February 2015 Pours black with a filmy beige head. This drinks far easier than it should considering the hefty abv. A dark fruity tang with some sticky dates and fig perhaps, tricky rating this whilst stood up, suffice to say the beer is good stuff. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts intense malty, fine notes of liquorice and coffee. More and more dry. Earthy-malty finish. Nice!
