Yet another beer Iβm surprised I havenβt rated before. Cask at Smithfield Derby β but have drunk it elsewhere several times. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal off-white head. Thereβs malts in the aroma plus a hint of humbug sweets. Pretty much the same in the mouth with the addition of liquorice and traces of treacle, berries and coffee. Finish has some vague fruitiness. Not at all bad.

Deep dark brown with a ruby tinge, a frothy tan head and a sweet fruit malt and slightly nutty aroma. Smooth and slightly bitter with some coffee notes alongside the fruit malt flavour and a dry finish

Tight tan head stayed on a still black body. Toffee, malt & fruity aroma. Medium bodied, tingly with a clean back. Malt, nutty, roasted & toffee tastes with a fruity berry finish. Great pint.
