Originally rated November 2008. Purchased at the LCBO. Comes in a typical Grolsch swing-top bottle, but is brown instead of green. The label on the neck says 5.3% ABV and best before 14122008. Pours a cloudy golden-beige colour with a nice white creamy head that leaves great thick lacing. Good light tiny bubble carbonation which is continuous. Beautiful aromas of banana bread and wheat malt. The mouthfeel is rather thick, not as watery as most weizen tried. Still refreshing, but a surprise from a macro-brewer like this. I see little particles that are white at the bottom of the glass. The taste has the banana as well, mild spices and soft bubblegum aftertaste. Quite a hefeweizen coming from Grolsch.

33cl bottle. White head. Cloudy beer, to be expected. Decent enough weizen but the dunkle is better.

Bottle from some random Tesco or Sainsburys in Northern Enlgand. Sweet lemon, banana, clove, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy pale yellow color with nice head. Sweet banana, lemon, clove and wheat malt flavor. Nice body. Very good weizen - gets a few extra points for not pandering to the hoi polloi and being in a swing-top bottle.

(bottle) cloudy pale yellow colour with tall white head; aroma - floral (lily?), taste - skewed towards acidic, thin and watery but I suppose refreshing
