0,5 l on tap at Sir Williams Pub. Pours dark brown with thick tan head. A lot going on in the nose, milk, chocolate, roasted malt, some molasses, plenty of tropical fruit and citrus, some pine and general fruity notes, pears and peaches. Taste is a nice balance of sweet and bitter on top of fruitiness mixed with roasty noes, coffee and chocolate. Slick palate, average carbonation and a nice long hoppy bitter finish. Nicely balanced and drinkable BIPA.

There’s a nice balance of alcohol, hops and malt at the beginning, with notes of grapefruit, pine, honey, toast and coffee, but the taste of burned toast gradually grows stronger and stronger until it’s the overwhelming aftertaste. Starts well, finishes a little too strong.

Appearance is black, opaque, a 2-finger cream head which quickly settles. Aroma- citrus fruit, orange, pineapple, malts, hint of milky coffee. Taste- lots of chocolatey malt running through, toasty malt, chewy toffee, bitter fruity hops, caramel, coffee, a bit more chocolate. Bitter and slightly chewy mouthfeel. Excellent.
