Specially brewed for the Ratebeer European Summer Gathering 2013 in The Netherlands. Organisation by Joes, Benzai, Martinus and Dutchdrebus. IPA / Orange Pale Ale brewed with El Dorado and Cascade.
Tevreden Oordeel is een zogenaamde Double IPA. India Pale Ale is een bierstijl die bekend staat om zijn hopgeur en smaak. Een double IPA is daar een sterkere variant van. Het is lastig om een goede Double IPA te maken, omdat de zoetheid van het sterkere bier vaak domineert en de hopsmaak en geur naar de achtergrond verdwijnen. Dankzij het gebruik van El Dorado hop denken wij hier desondanks bijzonder goed in geslaagd te zijn.

Bottle shared at 2014 GBBF. Aroma is banana , orange peel, resin and hot alcohol. Clouded orange light amber coloured pour with a thin lasting off white head. Flavour is alcohol, solvent, orange peel. Palate is medium chewy, solvent, highish carbonation. Lingering big harsh bitterness. No balance too much alcohol.

Bottle shared at chriso’s. Pours unclear gold with a frothy white head. The nose has aome leafy hops, rindy orange. Light to medium sweet avor with grainy pale bread, marmalade, cereal, honey, toasted caramel. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Sweet finish with more rindy bitterness, caramel, honey, bread. So so.

Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Lightly hazy gold beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and a little crisp. Light airy malt, creamy. Orange hops will integrated giving an overall orange cream flavour. LIttle hop spice. Light semi dry finish. All right!

Bottle from bierkoning, many thanks! Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes dunkeloranges Bier mit sehr großer Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Orangenschalen, hopfig fruchtig, leicht bitter. Geschmack trocken fruchtig, bitter hopfig, Citrusfrüchte.

Bottle at Chriso. It pours clear with a thick off-white head. The nose is fresh, doughy, orange sherbet, candied peel, passion fruit and tangerine. The taste is crisp, bitter, doughy, warming alcohol, orange peel, grapefruit and hay with a dry finish. Medium body, fine prickly carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Not bad...

Bottle, kindly donated by MisoW, many thanks. Dark orange golden color with huge beige head. gusher. Malty, hoppy aroma. Medium sweet taste with fruity hoppy kick. Hoppy bitter finish. For me little bit watery, but overall good beer.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ The Danish Summer Gathering, TSODRBSG13 ].Clear medium orange yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, pale malt, caramel, orange - citrus, wood, light leather. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, orange, caramel, spicy, hoppy bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130831]

Gusher. Aroma is rather fruity with apricot, hay and some orange. Flavour is a bit messy with woody notes, stinging hops, some fruity tones and grapefruit. Foamy palate is too high on CO2. Too dry and woody but not bad anyway. Tried to pour more into my glass but got only foam.
