Not as boozy as expected but bourbon is strong in the flavor. Nuances of coffee and chocolate are present

0.355l bottle from trade with FrostyTiger. This is a deep dark black one with a quickly disappearing but lovely looking dark as hell top. The nose is as amazing as I was expecting. Loaded with dark chocolate and bourbon. Both burned coconut, sweet vanilla and dark soy seeds is present here. As is dark coffee, sweet Nesquick and deep dark roasted malts as well. And the wood shines through all the dark aromas. Absolutely fantastic. Tingling and prickling on the carbonation and it has a massive and thick chewy mouthfeel. Lots of bourbon in the taste without being over the top. Alcohol, sweet milky but dark milk chocolate ice cream, tons of oak, more coconut, sesame seed oil, wood, something burned before it ends warming, dark and just delicious. A fantastic bourbon and roasted aftertaste that's refusing to let go in the mouth. A really really good one! Can't thank you enough David! 01.05.2013

Draft. Pitch black body with a thick tan head. Aroma of bourbon, molasses, dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, roasted malts. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Full body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Rich and full of flavor. Charred malts and dark, bitter espresso balance the taste of sweet mocha and sugared milk. Bourbon on the side with some light peppery alcohol notes. What a great blend.

12 ounce bottle (2014, 11.4% ABV) poured into a Belgian snifter. Pours black with a slight tinge of brown and a finger of tan head. Aromas of big caramel and bourbon, coconut, vanilla, toffee. Tastes of big bourbon, caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, dark chocolate. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Low carbonation, thick oily mouthfeel. Fairly smooth for 11.4%. Tastes like a big bourbon soaked chocolate covered caramel rolled in coconut with a cherry on top!

Purchased at Irving Park Liquors in Chicago, IL (last 4 pack!!!!); enjoyed at home on a Friday night getting ready to watch playoff hockey. Man am I happy to be trying this one! Appearance is a rich pitch black with a moderate dark tan head that nicely dissipates. Aroma is really complex, with great dark chocolate and coffee notes, mixed with bourbon, mint, light vanilla, light oak barrel, like BCBS but more subdued/delicate even? Maybe that doesn’t make sense, but it smells pretty incredible. Taste is pretty great, light burn going down, light carbonation, rich chocolate notes and lasting coffee...goes well with peanut butter cake! This is a good one, will definitely save one or two for aging.

Lovely aroma with lots of coffee, dark chocolate, some vanilla, a bit of bourbon, a bit of coconut and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor with lots of dark chocolate, some coffee, roastiness, bourbon, vanilla, wood and a finish with an alcoholic touch. Great full body, slightly oily. A great one. 8/4/8/5/16=4.1

Bottle split at Scopey’s 5K Extravaganza of Oompah Band meets doorbell music, big thanks to Bruce for supplying this vaulable catch up rate - 15/02/14. Light black with a moderate tan covering that thins to a swirl. Nose is big roast, dark chocolate fudge, coconut shavings - some may say ’Classic Bounty Bar’ - red wrapper with cardboard insert naturlich, subtle oaky bourbonic drawl. Taste comprises dark chocolate, dark toffee fudge, touch of spice, light coconut, subtle oaky bourbon, lightly oiled booze. Full bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate. A solid BA impy for sure, not overcooked on the BA either, could drink this one every day!
