2012 Pours black and oily with a minimal tan head. Complex aroma of roast malts, coffee, chocolate, bourbon. Sweet smooth sipper that has all the flavors that were in the aroma. Well done typical BA Impy Stout.

Have had this from 750ml bottle 12oz bottle and a growler fill a few years back. Pours out ink black topped with a brown head. This was one of my top wants back in the day. Nose is amazing roast malts chocolate coffee vanilla bourbon barrel and plenty of sweetness. Taste is more of the nice thick roast malts chocolate sweetness vanilla bourbon barrel.

Bottle/Fest. A- Cocoa, coffee, bourbon, mocha, dark fruits. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Chocolate, mocha, bourbon, coffee, oak, dark fruits. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- What a beer. I really wish I had more of this to really appreciate and savor it. Everything about it is balanced to a T and I really can’t find anything I didn’t like about it. Amazing how smooth it was.

Bottle from De Hopduvel. Vintage 2012. Oily black colour, deep brown foam. Soft carbonation. Fruity with hints of roasted malts. Sweet vanilla and bourbon character, but not too boozy. Notes of alcohol. Light bitterness. Very good stout.

Draught@CBC2015. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, some mild wooden and mild chocolaty notes to it. Flavour is alcohol, liquorice, quite strong on the bitterness along with mild chocolate, coffee and ripe fruits. A bit too boozy flavour.

Flavor is light sweet, malty, caramel, dark fruits, licorice, oak, vanilla, light bourbon notes, ark chocolate, light alcohol notes. Full body, oily mouthfeel, light warming alcohol.
