Bourbon Barrel-Aged Russian Imperial Stout
Pitch black in color with a faint tan head that immediately identifies this beer as BIG. Aromas of dark fruits, chocolate, caramel and roast also make it even bigger. Roasted coffee and fruity chocolate notes are just the beginning of this stout's complex flavor. If this is wrong we don't want to be right.

Bottle from Brewdog Castlegate. Pours black with a dirty tan head. Aroma is treacle, coffee, molasses, chocolate. Taste is a chocolatey, coconut, coffee, treacle and a good spicy boozy hit. Really good stuff.

Draft. Deep brown body with orange highlights. Tan head, diminishing. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, toffee, bourbon. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Taste of roast, bourbon, sweet chocolate, peppery alcohol, oak, vanilla. Restrained bourbon taste which is a plus. Alcohol is there, but not overly pronounced (not bad for 14%). Excellent balance. Goes down smoothly. Top-shelf imperial stout.

Aromat sups, gleboko beczkowy, burbonowy. Ale o dziwo w smaku agresywnie, intensywnie, alkoholowo... jakby nieulozone i kwaskowate. Palone

Very dark brown color. Lots of dark fruit, roasted malt, oak, molasses in the nose. Low carbonation, tons of roasted malt, chocolate cake, bourbon, oak, amazingly smooth. Alcohol well hidden for the 14%. Excellent

Sergey’s hunt; 11% ABV
Black color. Nice aroma, roasted malts, cardboard, coffee, alcohol, hints of black liquorice, and even sourness. Medium body, too strong liquorice flavor, sour, and burning alcohol; no bourbon.
Good beer, but weird, seems slightly infected.

355ml bottle (thx, Yannick P.!) at my place with Alex and Ash. Vintage 2015. Pours like an oil, an almost black with a brown head. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malt, and seeds. Very roast and fairly sour. Good, but where is my lovely bourbon? :-(

33cl Bottle courtesy of kermis, massive thanks! Black sticky goop with tan head. Big sweet deep roasted malts, big vanilla and bourbon, coffee, toffee, soft woodiness. Big sweet and mild chocolate bitter. Full body, soft carbonation, dense and thick texture. Big chocolate cake dipped in bourbon, very nice.
