A bright gold ale, using wheat, lager malt, and flavoured with an infusion of aroma hops. Clean and crisp to the palate with a hint of sweetness and a long fruit-filled finish.

Very flowery, not really to my taste, wouldn't drink it again. Christmas present from my stepson, drank at home.

Bottle from Hop Vault, Stourbridge, online. Slightly cloudy gold with small white head, some retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet, very floral and fresh, some biscuit. Taste of sweet malts, aromatic and crisp bitter hops, citrus, a light toastiness, some pepper. Light to medium bodied, smooth. Enjoyable gold.

I'd like to echo Martin's rate. I can't believe I've never had this! Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Dark gold, clear with uneven white head. Metallic aroma, some citrus, slightly floral. Sweet taste, a little bit of a sour kickback. Full body, no carbonation. Is it a bad beer, or is it in bad condition? Was surprisingly uncrazy about this.

Absolutely gobsmacked to discover than I’d never drunk this beer before ! [At least since my records began 12 years ago]. Anyway, cask at Bull & Stirrup, Chester. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with medium sized off=white head and excellent lacing. Is slow to settle but does so eventually. There’s yeast and floral hops in the aroma, plus a few traces of malts. In the mouth sweetness and bitterness vie for supremacy within a creamy texture. Flavour initially has corn, malts and traditional hops but later there are hints of ginger, herbs and citrus, This was surprisingly nice – better than their other mainstream beers,

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear pale gold coloured pour with a lasting a uniform white head. Aroma is subtle, golden grains, hedgerow hop, leafy grass, straw,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet sweet bread, custard, grass, vanilla, light tangy lemon twist. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, decent cask condition. Ok.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Deep good with a lasting off-white head and a light fizz. Good condition. Crisp from the off with floral hops and wheat chaff. A hint of red berries, then orange and sherbet in the slightly dry and moderately bitter finish. Nice fulfilling mouthfeel. The more I drank this the more I liked it. Dangerously moreish; an excellent golden ale.
