Bottle. Hazy amber color, thick off white head. Aroma of spiced caramel and subtle citrus. Taste is herbal and bitter spice, maybe anise and rosemary. Nice.

18/12/2011 75cl bottle @ home - bottle from Kerstbierfestival (Essen) - BB: n/a (2011-718)

Clear amber to copper red beer, small white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: when cold some chemical aroma, like paint, disinfectant. On warming up: sweet caramel, alcohol, fruity hops, bit dusty. So don't serve too cold! MF: low carbon, full body. Taste: sweet alcoholic, bitter hops, some caramel, fruity, grapefruit, other fruits, peaches, bit sugary, raisins. Aftertaste: bitter hops, citrus peel, little sweet. Feels a bit like a barley wine.
