Bottle. Hazy amber color, thick off white head. Aroma of spiced caramel and subtle citrus. Taste is herbal and bitter spice, maybe anise and rosemary. Nice.

Sampled at OBER Kerstbierfestival Essen 2011. Slightly hazy amber color, small off-white head. Smell malts and some roastyness. Taste malts, overripe fruits, lightly bitter finish. Medium carbonation, low to medium body.

18/12/2011 75cl bottle @ home - bottle from Kerstbierfestival (Essen) - BB: n/a (2011-718)
Clear amber to copper red beer, small white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: when cold some chemical aroma, like paint, disinfectant. On warming up: sweet caramel, alcohol, fruity hops, bit dusty. So don't serve too cold! MF: low carbon, full body. Taste: sweet alcoholic, bitter hops, some caramel, fruity, grapefruit, other fruits, peaches, bit sugary, raisins. Aftertaste: bitter hops, citrus peel, little sweet. Feels a bit like a barley wine.
