Think I had this at Kerstbierfestival Essen 2010. It said X-Mas Oak Aged. Dark brown color, small beige head. Ok smell, decent taste of malts, wood, vanilla and liquorice. Decent carbo as well. Re-rate at 2012 Kerstbierfestival Essen: Opaque dark brown color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness and alcohol. Decent balance, medium body, medium carbonation. 7-4-7-3-14.

Nett! 9/10/11/10//10

Bottle 2010 version at Kerstbier Festival, Essen, Belgique, 19.12.10 Pours dark brown with a small light beige head. There is a little sourness on the tongue, some wet wood, lavender, juniper and general light perfumeyness going on with this beer. I quite like it. A7 A4 T6 P4 Ov13 3.4

2010 Oak aged Thick-set, cream-coloured head over garnet-shot, black-brown beer. Sourish, woody, lactic acid, fruity esters. Tart, wry flavour but with a seeming of sweetness, alcoholic in character, in the background. Very good sour-sweet balance. Acid thinning, dry-out effect, tannines obvious. Sample a bit more severe than previous try-outs, still very good. Marks’ tour-de-force.

75 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours murky brown/reddish with a little brown head. Winous/brett dried fruity aroma. Flavour is acidic/citric brett with a delicate underlying spiced malt base. Has a nice sweetness beneath the malt and the acidic notes. Light liqourice note in the far finish. Quite nice and fresh. I could drink a whole bottle of this, but it is only for tasting.7-4-8-4-15=3.8
