Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, tasted side by side with the 19.10
The colour is almost black; it seems more carbonated. Aroma of malt, vanilla, sweet chocolate. Good body in the front, sweet, some caramel, fudge, sweet chocolate and vanilla flavour; the body gets a bit thinner in the finish, where the alcohol is also very evident.
Good strong ale, but without a punch; a bit underhopped.

Initially thought it's too sweet, but seems to go down well. Syrupy, raisiny, viscous, very sweet and lots of bourbon barrel. Very nice.

Can. Dark amber pour. Aroma of raisin, caramel, bourbon vanilla, figs and malt. Taste has green apple, bourbon vanilla, raisin, figs, caramel, booze, malt and dates. It's more onedimensional compared to the others. Allright.

0.33 l can from 'Beerdome', best before October 2024. Clear, dark ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes, some bourbon and a touch of vanilla. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter and slightly fruity taste of molasses, prunes, raisins, bourbon and some vanilla, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly warming finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice Barley Wine, well-balanced and moreish.
