Nicely tart yoghurt nose, white wine, wood, citrus, red grapes. Tastes of lactic sour bread, white grapes, citrus, touch funk, brett, very juicy with oranges. Creamy body. Lovely stuff.

Pours a clear amber with a decent foamy head. Smell is sharp and grapefruit-y as you’d expect of a Citra beer. The flavour follows suit but there’s pineapple and almost a smokiness to it as well, presumably from the cedar. This also lends a bit of body to the aftertaste which lingers in the throat. Very tasty.

330ml bottle from Great Grog. Pours hazy amber-brown, little white head. Big fresh pineapple and grapefruit nose, almost opal fruit sweetness.Mango too. Taste has some of the wood notes, but mostly big Citra hop bitterness. No bad thing, one of my favourite hops, but not sure I’d drink a lot of it. One is more than enough.

Keg at CBC Covent Garden, 09/05/14. Lightly hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering that retains well. Nose is dank hop, caramel, grapefruit, bitter citrics, pine needles, orange pith, light spice, wood shavings. Taste comprises juicy citrics, bitter orange, caramel malt, pine bite, grapefruit, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in a drying close. Solid IPA.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden, London. An orange/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Strange dirty socks, over ripe fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, tropical fruit, ripe oranges, slighty bitter. Pretty good but I’d have preferred a little more sweetness.

330ml bottle from Cotteridge Wines, thanks to Simon F. Beautiful resinous aroma, bold tropical and citrus hops, bright fresh character.. perhaps a little too strong tasting but tasty stuff nonetheless.
