A splendid, maroon-coloured beer with fine aromas of spiced fruit, orange peel and well-roasted malt to delight the nose. The flavour is a spicy balance of caramel, citrus and slightly bitter hops to restore that warm feeling during the dark days of winter. If stored in a cool, dark place, IJndejaars will keep for years.

Tap at Loburg, Wageningen, The Netherlands. Pours amber, with limited white foam. Aroma is caramel, malty. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is fairly sweet. Final is average in intensity.

Hazy brown with an off-white head. Aroma of malts, dried fruits, caramel, spices, plum. Flavour is sweet with a light to moderate bitter finish. Medium bodied. Sweet but nice brew.

Bottle 0,33ltr: A brown strong alcohol brew from the IJ brewery. Very bitter beer not mine favorite from this brewery. And now 2011 i like this brew more hazy amber with an slightly sweet taste indeed, with an fine fruity hints.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with creamy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel and hoppy touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and yeast, and touches of fruit. Malty and estery aftertaste with acidic and bitter hints. Warming alcohol presence. Decent.

nice belgian styled beer. Very minor spice. Tasty, great beer. Cafe gollem amstelatrat (3.6 dec 2020) Again not quite as good. Just weak on all cylandefs

Flesje thuis gedronken. Donker amberkleurig bier met matig schuim dat snel weg trekt. Weinig aroma; iets moutig en gisting. Smaak van rozijnen en pruimen. Nasmaak heeft een beetje salmiak en kruiden.
