After a long wait, our Special Reserve No.5 is pretty much ready. it’s an 8.4% big, bold, double IPA. It’s fresh, piney, big-bodied and with a bitterness that’ll slap you in the chops.

Slightly hazy warm golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, weed, onion, pine, resin. Bitter flavour, very bitter. Hops, pine. Bitter finish, weed and pine. Nice.

Slightly hazy golden beer with a floral, citrus aroma. Flavour is a bitter fruity hit of floral citrus, grapefruit coming through, It’s sort of typical of this sort of beer but it’s very, very well done and very much my cup of tea. Really nice.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. This is a blurry golden looking one with a small but lacing white little top. The nose is what I will call floral with melon, green pine cones and some sweetish almost sticky caramel. Not bad at all. It's sharp and quite grassy hoppy in the mouth. A good bite to it. Almost like stinging hedge on the hop profile. Full bodied and about average on the carbonation. A well crafted tasty dipa. 03.05.2014

Bottle. Nose is pine, honey, herbal, emerging tropical sweetness. Taste is tropical sweet notes leading to a rich bitterness, light spice, and pine with stick sweetness in the finish. Mouthfeel is good. Rich and delicious, Buxton are very reliable at high strength beers.

Pours amber with a fading head.Nose shows tangerine, mandarin and resinous pine along with a fair whack of sweet clean malt.Rich flavours with lots of sweet malt and slightly nutty notes followed by big spicy and resinous hops.

Bottle thnx to Martin !!! Pours unclear amber, small white head . Smell is bitter, fruity , aromatic, amarillo (? ) Taste is bitter , earthy, some grassy tones , fruity ( amarillo comes to mind again ) , bit of pine , Very tasty, easy drinkable . Bit malty in the back .

Keg at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, green session. 03/05/2014. Bright orange coloured pour with a small white head. Aroma is zesy lemon citrus, piney, sticky pine resin. Flavour is big smooth hops, pineneedles and lemon citrus. Palate is semi-sweet, fine carbonation. Solid bitterness, very smooth. Nice resin hop.
