Backlog September 2011. Clear amber body with some floaters under a small off-white head. Aroma has caramel malt, dry fruit and vinous alcohol. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit, brown sugar and warming alcohol. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. Nice, strong Belgium beer.

It is a quadrupel trappe hidden, it is my impression. Similar and even though a good beer, solid quadrupel, warm alcool, sugar, side of plum and autumnal spicies, malty, hop at the final. 07.08.2020, drinking it at Bonfol, simply enjoying the life

Pours an attractive dark amber with a substantial off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, nuts, raisins, somewhat sugary, some alcohol warmth. Heavy body. Tasty quad.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sottobosco. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e l'esistenza olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è contenut. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, un accenno di resinoso, agrumi, frutta passita, pepe e spezie.

Аромат сладкий, очень много ноток от сливы и прочих сухофруктов, немного специй и цветов, в общем много солода, нотки от ликера и темных фруктов. Цвет темно янтарный, пенка хорошая, кремовая, очень стойкая. Вкус конечно тяжелый на все заявленные градусы. Начинается кремово, похоже на какой нибудь сладкий пирог, снова много специй и сухофруктов. При глотке тяжесть от градусов, немного хмеля. Снова цветочные нотки с намеком на карамель и пирожное. Немного чернослива и алкоголя на самом конце. В целом просто отличный экземпляр.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Very dark brown ale with an good taste of dried-fruits. A good brew from the La Trappe mash tuns.

Bottle. Just slightly hazy coppery amber, medium offwhite head, not so lasting. Medium biscuity, lots of dry fruits, mostly fruits, a bit of alcohol and wood. Moderate bitterness, quite yeasty and very spicy. Some mild sweetness in the end. Quite some alcohol warmth. Medium body, sharp and quite warming.
