Backlog February 2009. Pale golden body under a small, disappearing white head. Aroma is not very pleasant, harsh and almost like puke. Taste is sweet, harsh and unbalanced bitter with a watery body and unpleasant aftertaste as well. One of the worst beer I have ever tasted.

Helles Gold im Glas, kaum Schaum, dezente Perlung. In der Nase künstlich, Reis. Im Trunk überraschend malzig, Getreide, dezent süß, bin positiv überrascht.

Bottle courtesy of Sudes. Al naso l'aroma rimanda a all'orzo, forse.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear gold, small white head, basic circular retention. Aroma of lager malts, mainly wet cardboard in note, slight hint of caramel. Taste is also malty lager but I've had worse of this type. It does have a light caramel note with a mild bitterness running through. The cardboard/veg notes are there but not as pronounced as some macro lagers. Still its pretty average fare.

Very slight sweet bitter is this island beer and it's surpringly good working for me. This golden beer has some hints of caramel and fruits, very slightly. Old paper ratings before Ratebeer, so why not rate them in hindsight.
