From New York City to the North. Two worlds. Two cities. Two recipes. One beer. Nothing artificial.

Black beer, light brown head. Malty chocolate with a good.whack of coconut. Flavour is light (thankfully, for me) coconut, coffee, rich dark chocolate, some toffee. The coconut gets stronger as you got through and I'm not a fan of coconut at all but it's balanced quite well here though it does linger into the aftertaste.

Can. Turner’s, Sheffield. Dark chestnut brown. Fairly dense, lasting, lacing, tan head. Nose has metal filings. Earthy coffee. Cocoa. Some wet leather. Taste is harsh, metallic bitterness. Fairly dry. Medium to heavy mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Harsh bitterness to finish. Coconut? Nah. Poor.

Can from Cotteridge Wines; dark opaque black pour with a massive creamy tan head, aroma has big roast and some dark fruit, taste has some rich roast, dark chocolate bounty, coffee hints, so easy to drink and slick mouthfeel. --- Beer merged from original tick of EVEN MORE DEATH // IMPERIAL STOUT on 25 Dec 2018 at 19:43 - Score: 8
