Bottle from Eebria. Black pour with a light beige head. Coffee, black treacle and chocolate oat aroma. Raisin, dark fruit, sultana, prunes and candied peel. A subtle sourness in there. Dry finish. Nice.

330ml bottle, thanks to blackhaddock. Shared at the Siren Rainbow tasting, Jan 15. Pours very dark brown with tan head. Taste is dubbel-esque dark fruits, rye-tastic but slightly sub-dued.

330ml bottle: BBE Jun 15 (Lot 829). Obtained from the brewery and broached on 26 Jan 15. Black with a dark tanned topping. The nose was sweeter than the semi-sour flavours and although chocolate notes could be found in the aroma dark fruits tastes gave the beer a tart feel and hide whatever sweetness there was or had been. OK, but not what I expected to be honest.

Bottle, via Eebria. Clear, very dark, reddy brown. Halo and film of tan head. Sweet, grainy malt. Hint of liquorice. Hint of chocolate. Not overly appealing. Taste is dry, and very light tart. Thin mouthfeel. Finishes a bit tart.
