This one has a black body if you wonder Surely a voodoo child….I think Ok standard impy aroma Gladly for me….not to high smoked profile Very well hidden actually. On tap at Great Notion NW, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out subtle marshmallow, with vanilla, lactose, and medium roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with light vanilla, marshmallow and medium roast. Not getting any of the smoke. It's a very pleasant beer, but isn't overly deep or complex. Fun beer. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Share the Fire on 22 Mar 2019 at 02:30 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: Crowler, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light smoked malt, with a touch of cocoa. Flavour brings out lots of sweet marshmallows, chocolate, and some oats. Very sweet and marshmallow-y. Not very complex and rather cloying, but it's a fun sweet stout.

Dark brown. Not much head. Actually smells a little thin and husky...not the richness I was expecting. Good richness on the palate, though. Veers towards sweet but not pastry sweet. Hint of smoke but you’d never call this smoky. The marshmallow comes through a bit in the finish. It’s ok but that’s it. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Share the Fire on 22 Mar 2019 at 02:32 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Dark brown. The aroma mixes light smoke, maple syrup, and a bit of some sort of marshmallowy vanilla stuff. Quite full, and a lot of vanilla. Light smoke. Full body. Touch of alcohol in the finish.

Poured from the tap. Black with tan head. Light chocolate, touch of cocoa powder, light smoke, and a touch of leather with a hint of glue on the aroma. Nice, but could be just a touch smokier.

Draught at The Magnet, Vancouver
Dark colour, almost black, brown head. Aroma of cardboard, roasted malt, very light leather, glue. Robust but lean body, probably a result of the high alcohol content, smooth, moderately sweet; strong flavour of roasted malts, rye, touch of honey, burnt wood. Too bad that there isn't a stronger note of smoke and sweet marshmallow.
Excellent. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Share the Fire on 22 Mar 2019 at 17:50 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Tasting at Matt's; crowler
Dark brown colour, near black; small, bubbly head. Aroma of dark caramel, cake, touch of vanilla, chocolate bar. Lean body, sweet, smooth; nice chocolate bar flavour, strong vanilla, light smoke.
May come across a bit artificial, but it's very good.
