Aroma of dark roasty malt, nicely hot pepper, sweet chocolate, a little coffee. Flavour is dominated by respectably hot pepper, but there’s also a malty chocolate sweetness in there. Wonderful taste, lovely palate. Being a big lover of everything hot and spicy, it’s great to finally drink a chilli beer that is not either far too subtle or way over-the-top, but instead rather well-balanced.

Bottle 0,33ltr: First the aroma is great with chocolate meets tobacco smell. Taste is burning pepper, pepper everywhere. Not mine thing but great try and improvement for pepper-beer-lovers.

Backlog February 2017. Close to black body under a dense, half finger tick beige head. Aroma has malt, some chocolate and pepper. Taste is light roasted malt, some coffee and lots of chili. Medium body and hot chili dominated aftertaste.

Tap at Borefts 2014. Pours black with a medium frothy light brown head. Aromas of pepper, sweet dark fruits, slight chili sweetness. Some funkyness going on in here... Taste is pretty dark roast, some bitter chocolate, chili sweetness, pepper. Pretty good finishing burn.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. rather innocent aroma. caramel, roast, hint of licorice, maybe some soft peppery notes. But in the flavor an immediate and persistant pepper burn dominates the flavor. Forget the sweetness, the caramel, the roast and the licorice. They are there, but it doesn’t matter: the pepper rules. Absolutely not a bad beer, but not my taste.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Stable fawn-coloured head leaving crocheted lacing down the glass. Coal black body. Aroma of earthy chocolate and prunes. Initial taste of chocolate and dried fruits quickly overrun by chili. A bit hard to get through, but gets quite nice and tasty with small sips during an hour or so. Late on a Saturday eve at home (Tromsø 20.08.2016).
