Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of candy, sweets, spices, candy sugar, anisseed, black pepper. Anis seed flavour, yeast, candy. Fizzy. Finish malts and spices. Quite in Belgian style, albeit a bit spicier.
(from 35cL bottle @ joes’ bbq tasting, Oirschot. Thanks for sharing, Joris!)

Sample at Sour Sunday 2015. A bit hazy golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of funk, citrus, yeast, orange and light spices. Quite a lot of carbonation and with a dry finish.

Draft at Beer Temple. Aroma of dry grass and yeast. Tastes likewise, dry, yeasty and fruity. Very Belgian, but the Belgians themselves can do this better.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home knowing that vacation in a warm climate starts in less than a week. Appearance is a cloudy slightly dark gold with a light white bubbly head. Aroma of pepper, orange peel, light yeast, overall pretty small smell. Taste is heavy on the yeast, with a thick consistency, light sour, dry finish, it’s good but doesn’t offer too much in my opinion. Not bad though.

Poured into teku showing bright translucent yellow with two fingers of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of brett and farmhouse aromas. The palate is aggressively carbonated with a lot of the same. Surprisingly not very tart but with a slight sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Reminds me a lot of an aged Orval.

Bottle. Tallboys, Leeds. Hazy straw colour. Full, thick, lasting, bright white head. Spicy, peppery, bready, grainy malts. Lemon rind punchiness. Juicy Fruit gum. Taste is light dry. Hint of bitter. Soft, airy palate. Tad on the thin side. Finishes light dry. Starts great, and then tails off. Very drinkable though.
