It is a classical porter from England, all the qualities that you could expect, dark, roasted malt, bitter, hop, well balanced, 29.09.16, at Prélaz, buying it at the ex grain d'Orges, Crissier.

Bottle from Aldi variety 6-pack. Pours a deep brown with a foamy tan head. Lightly roasty malt nose, but it wafts from the glass to my nose after I set it down. Roast malt taste starts out slow, then builds. Tempered by what I guess is the Limestone brewing water character. This is growing on me as I finish it.

Bottle. Must have been an old one. Poured dark with a medium head but had a stenchiness more than an aroma, and a taste that just wasn’t right.

Bottle. Really good porter. Strong malt taste that is associated with Porters. Nice dark color. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and slightly of burnt toast. Recommend it.

Bottle from Systembolaget Sweden. Big and creamy brown head that lasts.
A roasted malty aroma with a bit dark chocolate. The roasted malt is also in the taste.
Balanced bitterness and body.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, some roast and quite some liquorice, bit sugary, touch of dark fruits, raisins and dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate roasty bitter. Body is medium. Nice classic Porter, very drinkable.
