Bottle from bier-deluxe.de. Hazy orange golden color with medium white head. Hoppy aroma with tangerines, oranges, pines, orange zest. Solid malty backbone with nice tropical fruity hoppy kick in foreground. Long citrus hoppy bitter finish. Refreshing, good.

200ml draught shared with Skinnyviking at Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade. Hazy golden body, low remaining white head. Mild grapefruit on the nose. Moderate taste of pale malts mixed with citrus. Smooth, semi-dry, bitter ending. A bit diluted on the swallow. Just alright (Copenhagen 08.12.2013).

[10/15/13] Cask at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà in Rome. Hazy golden with a small bubbly head. Aroma is somewhat buttery with malt, a bit of fruitiness and mild hoppiness, floral and a bit citric. Flavor has some sweetish malt with a bit of diacetyl, mild fruitiness and a bitter hoppy finish, a bit citric. Light to medium-bodied. So-so.

Bottle. A lightly unclear golden beer topped by a decent white head. The aroma is mostly on the piney, hoppy side, it’s fruity, and some malty scents hit the nose. There’s a plesasant bitterness in the flavor, both initially and in the end, with pine cones, generic fruityness and a little touch of pale malts. Dry on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated. A pleasant beer, quenching and easy drinkable, but very far from exciting. 121130

Tap at the Wildeman, Amsterdam. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy hop. The flavour is weak bitter, grassy, slightly creamy and the palate is a little watery. A great summer beer and very refreshing.

Bottled, BB 300314, large sample. Hazy golden color, short head. Aroma of citrus, orange, some spices like coriander, hint of ginger. Soft spicy taste, bit dry, bit sweet of lemon. Feels like a combination of ginger, lemon peel and mint. Or maybe some combination of weird hops like sorachi ace, motueka or that sort. Not your classic golden ale, but quite tasty.

Very small white head; fine carbonation in hazy yellow beer. Dry hot summerstraw, summergrain; garden herbs, lightly grassy. Bitterish-hoppy, noble EU-hops, delicate and flowery. Faintly grainy in the background, not sweet. Spritzy to fizzy, grist slickness, light bodied. Excellent!! Exactly what a golden summerale ought to be; desalterating, light and yet very tasty indeed. Golden Ale? Indeed, it even calls itself so. But to me, this is one of the most exemplary editions of a Wiess, unfiltered Kölsch. Never mind it’s brewed in Lombardia!
