Old rating - Back when we were able to travel, a friend brought this back home to Jersey for me. Pours a deep red with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, bread, seaweed & deep fruity malts. Medium body & bitter finish. Very different & overall highly enjoyable

Dåse fra vinbuðin, Akureyri. Flot rød-brun farve med et lækkert skum. En dybere maltkraft i duften. Bitterhed og nogle mørke noter.

330 ml can from Vinbudin in Akureyri, Iceland. Pours a cloudy dark bronze color with a beige head and good retention. Spotty lacing. Strong hops and light caramel aroma. Very hoppy flavor dominates, with a long, soft bitter finish. Any would-be caramel notes are masked by the hops. This tastes more like an IPA versus a red ale. Medium body and medium carbonation. Medium-high, yet soft bitterness.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma gives off a strange tomato-y, vegetal character, and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with tomatoes, crunchy vegetables, gentle hoppy bitterness and bready malt. Way too tomato-y and vegetal. Not bad, but it's an odd one.

33 cl bottle at Gott restaurant in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland. The pour is a slight haze darker copper with a one inch light tan head that is lasting. Falls with nice lace. The aroma is grassy hop and caramel malt. The taste is the caramel malt up front, followed by and dried out a bit by the grassy hop of the nose. The palate is medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and the dry, softly bitter finish. Nice.
