Brown 33cl bottle, the second Pilsner in a ’Pilsner/Lager reviewing evening’ 23 Oct 2010. Poured into a ’Veltins’ tulip glass. Regular Lager/Pilsner looks, golden, clear, bright and clean. The head (snow white) soon fell away though. Gets my standard score of three for an almost odourless lager/pilsner. A little sweeter than the normal Euro lagers and has some body compared to the major producers and many German ones. A pleasant Pilsner and if it was sunny outside I’d have a couple before I had a proper beer!

More of the same in my opinion. Clear yellow / golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly grains, lightly bitter. Average.

07/08/2010 25cl bottle @ Hof van Twello

A pale yellow beer, fine white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Lots of carbon in the glass. Aroma: hop and almonds. MF: bit flat, but ok. Light body. Taste: somewhat bitter, watery. Aftertaste: slightly bitter, nothing special.

Bottle: Golden, a bit unclear, medium-sized, quite stable white head with a good lace; sweetish-corny and dusty nose with a tinge of "woody" hops; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit sticky, though; some lemony traces in the bitter-sweet finish. Quite well made Dutch Pilsener......

On tap: Golden colour, white head. Nose of grass, some hops. Taste is soft, sweet maltiness but with some bitterness underneath and a nice soft bitter finish. Good clean pilsener.

Bottled. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is paper, dry hay and slight earthyness. Flavour is maize, sweet malts and a lot of grass. Quite unbalanced brew in my opinion.

Pleasant, fresh aroma with a hint of sharpness. It’s very clean and refreshing with a light level of fruity acidity. This is one of the better pilseners and very easy to drink.
