Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black with two fingers of white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: milk chocolate, cola tones; sweet woody tones, some bitter coffee tones, dark fruits somewhat coming across rotten
Flavor: semi-sweet with some roastiness; finishes brisk with the cola and chocolate tones
Texture: between light and medium bodied, between sessionable and being a sipper; sticky on the tongue becoming cloying
Overall: I'd say not the best effort by this brewer, unsure if I would come back to.

Almost mint chocolate. Deep brown with a small brown head. Chocolate, cocoa and a long weird finish.

Poured from the tap @ Darby’s Kits. Black with tan head. Lots of vanilla, mild blueberry and bourbon, chocolate and light roast malt with hint of cinnamon and mint. Alcohol is fairly hidden, body is quite light for what it is. Lots of good flavours, but needs fine tuning.

On tap at Darby's Gastown, pours black with a medium dark brown head. Aroma is fairly intense, with lots of whiskey barrels (not the most complex), with vanilla and roasted malt. Flavour is brutal and harsh, with intense roasted malt, boozy whiskey barrels and some earthy notes. Not an elegant beer by any means. I can't tell if the barrels are cheap or if they aged liquid just came out harsh and unintegrated. It's okay, but certainly inferior for the style.

Draught at Darby's Gastown, Vancouver
Black colour. Very strong notes of medicines, mint, tooth paste, covering the chocolate notes; the body is not very strong, or maybe just too boozy.
Sore expensive mess, not good at all.

Draught @ Darby's. Black, with a very thick head. What a nose - rosemary and cinnamon are big along with chocolate and barrel notes. Soft and sweet, light cinnamon, touch of rosemary, rich bourbon, mellow wood. Really complex, and the balance makes each element pop. Fun!

Glass at Darby's Gastown on Halloween party with Christina and her friends. Pours an almost black with a beige head. Aroma is lots of rosehip berries and medicinal notes, some roasted malt as well. Taste is similar. Nah, IMO such BBA stouts should no exist.

Tap (9WFDP, Wrocław). Mix of cocoa and bluberries, fruit source at the finish, medium to full body, semidry, tasty in overall.

En fût sur place. Couleur noire opaque, mousse moka. Arôme de romarin, cannelle, bourbon, cacao, bleuet. Goût de malt torréfié, café, cacao, romarin, fruité (bleuet?), infime acidité. Carbonatation faible, corps moyen-dense. C'est bien bon, mais un petit verre est suffisant.
