This beer is brewed during the hop harvest with a portion of unkilned or “wet” hops fresh off the vine. Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love. October release.

12 ounce bottle from Trenton Road Takeout. Hazy orange gold color. Massive, pillowy beige head seems to last forever. Spotty lacing. Sweet fruity hop aroma. Notes of cedar, lemon and pine. Bittersweet citrus and pine seem to come to the forefront. Resin and herbal notes. Spicy, too.

Pours deep amber into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes leaving gloppy sheets. Caramel and pine aromas. Medium bodied and dry with earthy tangerine, pine and nuts front to back. Lasting oak finish.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy deep gold with a finger of white foam. Lots of fresh squeezed citrus with mango and pine aromas. Smooth on the palate, mild bitterness and more of the same citrus and tropical fruit. Refreshing and easy drinking.

A lightly hazed dark amber ipa with a thin lacing white off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with resinous hops, light surranated characters, light oxidation. In mouth, sweet caramel malt with surranated hops and oxydation, light treacle, OK.

22 oz bottle poured. Fresh Hop month continues, and in quite the fine style. Much thanks to Tcon (and Jon) for the share! Bottle date smudged off, unfortunately. Adds some mystery. Didn't think I'd ever enjoy a fresh hop 3F anywhere but the source. Mostly clean golden orange pour. A piney first, orange and citrus second, flavor profile. Cool, resinous hops. Delicious. Refreshing IPA. Standout, lingering hop presence. Memorable IPA for sure.
