India Pale Ale
This beverage is a real barnburner – sure to fill up the whole stat sheet. It’s a lineup stacked with a Murderer’s Row of Citra & Simcoe hops in the kettle, with a Cascade, Citra, & Simcoe Cryo dry-hop batting cleanup. And we can’t forget about the hometown hero: the Indiana-malted barley, wheat, & oats brought their A-game today, folks. They have unbelievable chemistry! True professionals all the way, these grains always play the game the right way.

Pour is a milky looking orange juice with a small white head. Aroma is dank resinous and bitter. Not a lot of fruit more of a earthy green hop. Flavor is more dankness, a slight bitterness with some honey malt giving this a bit of body. You can almost taste and feel hop powder grittiness in this. Not my fav IPA from this brewer but this had a few talking points along the way.

Cloudy and pale. Danky sort of lupy powder aroma. Has a nice kiss of pale malt, decent bitterness, and a hop dank sort of hop character.

Tall can (thx, Connor G.!) at Brian's. Pours a cloudy blonde with a weak white head. Aroma is tropical fruits with toothpaste freshness. Similar taste. Pretty good.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a small fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, light peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.3%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great omplexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish, nicely soft feel. reat Citra, Mosaic, Cascade profile. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops; great wheat/oat/malt backbone, minimal residual sweetness from lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example as expected.
