Pint stubby from Bottleworks. Pours clear dark amber with a few bubbles. Aroma is toffee/chocolate with darkish fruits. Full body. No carbonation. Far from dry. Moderately bitter. Flavor is aroma with rye and dark cherry. Oak astringency. Heat is surprisingly low in intensity. Raising the glass to a brewery that was great.

Panda thanks to Ibrew2or3: Poured a deep brown with orange edges and bubble head. Aroma is boozy, dark cherries, bourbon, rich malts, lots going on in the nose. Taste is dark fruits, cherries, toffee, rich malts, boozy, bourbon, vanilla, those barrels are fighting my palate.

16 oz stubby bottle. 2023 bottling. Pours a blackish brown color with no head. The aroma is quite strong with spices, dark fruits, and toffees. The taste is quite an explosion of flavor with anise, plums, toffee, licorice, raisins, leather and tobacco. The palate is full, oily and very satisfying--this despite there being no carbonation(which I did not miss). Finishes gloriously long and semi sweet with lingering anise. Overall: magnificent

16oz bottle (yes, it is a bottle) @ Ryan's shared with Farees. Vintage 2022, 17.8% ABV. Appearance: brown with no head. Aroma: dark fruits, a bit of perfume, bourbon, oxidized. Taste: along the same lines, quite boozy, looots of wood in the aftertaste. Overall: quite a nice one, interesting.

Poured from 473mL (16 fl oz; 2022 vintage; abv listed as 17.8%; from Hair of the Dog brewery, Portland, Oregon) capped bottle just before they officially closed (approximately Feb 2022). Dark brown with no head. Quite mild vinous notes, bourbon and rum,, just a hint of tobacco, abv hidden in terms of the actual listed abv, yet still a bit harsh alcohol. Mild caramel and dark fruits. Good, not amazing. Will probably be overrated now that it is retired, but enjoyable. Can't add it as a location in terms of the original HotD location since it is now retired based on current RB standards.

Courtesy of Dakine and douglas88, flip top bottle pours with a near clear mahogany colored body that supports no head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting reduced sugars, booze, sweet smelling whiskey and bourbon and oak. The taste delivers smooth rich molasses sliding into smooth bourbon. It becomes more oak and whiskey and booze into the finish. Nice. Should cellar wonderfully.
