Zwaar karakteristiek amberkleurig bier. Royaal van samenstelling. Volle rijke zoete moutsmaak met lekker bittertje in de afdronk. Puur om van te genieten. EBC 41.

Bottled, bought at Mitra. Dark brown color, short head. Aroma of roasted malt, some chocolat and coffee. Taste is good malty, slight sweet, some licorice. Good brew for the winter season, and exceptionally well made for De Leckere!

on tap, pours dark cherry/brown with a small white head. Aromas are of oak, alcohol and cinnamon. The taste is strong, some malt character mixed with licorice and cinnamon. The mouth ilight to medium with moderate carbonation and a creamy feel in the finish. Pretty good strong ale.

Huge yellow-brown, dense head over beautiful deep mahogany coloured beer. Sweetish nose, very liqueurish. Spices and cypress blend to a very Ardennes-like brew. Spicy, leafy, root spices flavours. Caramel, burnt & roasted notes, almonds, faint bitterish lining. Good balance. Quite well-bodied, slick, nearly viscous. Not very distinctive finish or aftertaste. Not bad at all. Thank God it is Blauwe, and not Botte Bijl…

(Bottle 30 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Comes as "De Leckere Winterbier. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a small off-white head. Delicious aroma of burned caramel. Quite full-bodied with burned caramel, pumpernickel and roasted malt. Subdued bitterness but heavy on alcohol. More British/Scottish than Belgian really. 041008

Bottle, 10%. Good vinous malt aroma, hint of bread. Hazy amber colour. Small frothy white head. Good malty flavour, slightly creamy. Sweet and with a hint of warming alcohol. Good, but a bit weak for ABV.

Bottle: Poured a orange brown with a thin white head. Aroma is fruit and spice. Taste is a nice sweet fruit, the alcohol level is very well hidden.

Thanks bierkoning, Edo! Hazy orange nut-brown color, small off-white head. Glue-like grainy aroma. Sweetish, toffeish, diacetylic flavor. Liquerish palate. Feels almost infected. It doesn’t feel 10 % either.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish nutbrown colour, not much head. Aroma is very glueish alcohol, yeast, raisins and fruits. Flavour is very sweet fruits, malts and quite glueish. The alcohol is very disturbing in this one.

Bottle: Hazy, orangey colored, "dirty" small foamy layer; moderate grainy-toasted-malty nose with shy orangey traces; moderate sweet, a bit tart flavour, medium bodied; sweet-fruity, a bit tart, too, finish. All in all a quite weak example for a 10% ABV beer.........
