Nice big foam on a dark brown body, smells softly of licorice and roasted barley. Flavour is soft sweet chocolate, molasses, soft coffee hints. Full on the mouth. Not too exciting but definitely serviceable, adequate porter.

On tap at Mount Arrowsmith, pours a cloudy murky dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma reveals light toasted malt and a hint of bready caramel. Flavour is clean, with gentle toasted malt and a hint of caramel. Very light body, with a dry caramely finish. It's alright.

Light brown with a bit of haze to it. Bubbly head. On the nose, chocolate and coffee. Medium mouthfeel. Lots of bitterness, almost woody in the finish. Bitter chocolate and cheap coffee, and the hops take on a leafy note. Good body for the style.
