(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Yeasty-spicy cara-malty aroma with notes of brioche, as well as citric and slightly sweaty hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied at best with a moderate carbonation. Slightly bready (cara-)malty taste with yeasty and moderately fruity notes, hints of grass; sweet-bitter, delicately fruity and moderately grassy hoppy and spicy finish. I definitely prefer the other one (Tasty Lady). 26.IX.13

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is very yeasty with a little malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a yeasty, liqourice hop palate. The yeast dominates this beer and it really should be the hops that dominate an IPA. When all is said and done though, it’s quite drinkable and refreshing, but they need a different hop combination for the next one.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 24 July 2013) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with apricots, citrus, grapefruit and hints of yeast. Fruity, slightly yeasty taste with notes of dried apricots, grapefruit and a spicy bitterness in a finish with a slight saison character. Medium body, quite dry. A bit different, but quite nice.

Squat little 33cl bottle, picked up at Bierzwerg, pours with a nearly clear deep gold body with copper hues and that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma is pretty robust with resiny pine, a sweet malt soaked wood, grassiness, herbs and a dash of lime peel. The taste is up front hop bitterness with a good load of pine hops and then into floral hops and then some grapefruit and lime. Toward the finish sweet malts murmur feebly to the surface amid still plenty of pine, floral and an earthy tea nuanced maltiness and citrus note. Interesting. I like it.

Second installment of these brewing ladies. It’s a very malty IPA with a tuin body. I liked the first one better.

21/VIII/13 - 33cl bottle from 4de Gents Bierfestival @ home - BB: XII/2014 (2013-790)
Clear amber to deep orange beer, nice creamy irregular off-white to yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: quite some caramel, honey, sweet malts, little fruity, toast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, bit sweet, caramel, grains, pretty bitter, some citrus. Aftertaste: bitter hops, toast, grains, hint of mocha, bitter, grassy hops, almost medicinal ending. Nice and hoppy, but lacking some sweet malty base and depth here...

Draught @ In de Wildeman. Slightly unclear orange color, medium sized dense creamy head. Not a lot of aroma. Taste malts, bitter hops, medium bitterness. I miss some fruity influences. Like a lot of beers from De Eem it’s a decent beer, but they never really stand out.
