Bottled. Very black, dark brown head. Rich chocolate aroma. Sweet and full bodied with generous amounts of chocolate and a slight tingle of chili warmth. Milk chocolate finish with a touch of vanilla. One of the most balanced chili beers I’ve had.

Small yellow-brown rim over ultra-dark brown beer. Voluptuous whisky nose, old barriques, fine aromas with wood, lightly smoked, sweet alcohol & fusels. Baba au rhum. Warming, smoke & firewood, roasted chestnut and a bitter-hoppy finish. Hot chili comes as an afterthought. Hot MF, very well-bodied for its ABV, viscous; long-lasting aftertaste, chili mounting with warming up. Excellent, fabulous for its ABV - great beer. BUT!!! Can somebody PLEASE pass a law against the use of wax on bottles!!!

Bottled. Dark color, medium brown head. Aroma of bourbon, coffee, chocolat. Still strong in flavor, where usually the BA takes away some of the original flavors in such a relatively low ABV beer. Bit bitter, chocolat. Didnt recognize the chili. Great stuff.

Bottle at Borefts Beer Festival 2010, courtesy of Mikkel and the boys - thank you gentlemen. Ruby maroon color, small beige head. Aroma of dates, vanilla, cinnamon, coffee. Flavor is chocolate, raisins, vanilla. Great complexity and character, especially for a 6% ABV! Proof that you can make a really nice beer without massive alcohol.

Bottle courtesy of Mikkeller, another enormous thanks! Poured a very dark, almost black body with a brown head. A supremely vinuous nose, berryish, sticky and malty. All of that carries to the taste, but that also gives out chocolate, dryness, and a lovely chili bite. An unbelievably complex and successful experiment. that my rating doesn’t even begin to describe properly.
