Erg goed.

Bottle from Drinkshop. The key thing in this beer is balance. It has rich malty profile with caramel and candyish elements, also lots of estery flavours, lightly spicy. But all in an exquisite balance that makes the beer easily drinkable despite the ABV - which is hidden very well.

Pours a clear coppery-brown color, topped with a decent tan colored head. Aroma has fruity and caramel feel to it, with slight alcohol notes. Taste is similar, malty and sweet, little spicy in the finish. Mild bitterness and some presence of alcohol in the taste. Not for me.

Amber colour, moderate head. Nose of fermented grains, candy, coriander. Medium to full body. Corny flavour, sweet spicy, a bit boozy. Low still present bitterness. Nice balance. malt & hops in ending. A pleasant thing overall.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours an amber brown colour, with a thick creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet/fruity, with orange peel, coriander, roasted malt. Taste is the same, strong alcohol presence. Full bodied. Alcohol taste is quite strong in this, so I prefer the Vieille Cuvée.
