50cl bottle from SuperAlko, Tallinn. Pours clear, pale golden with a white head. Grainy and slightly grassy with hints of ripe apples and mild herbs. Moderate to medium sweet with rather low flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Fair enough.

0.5 l bottle stolen from Bare. Clear golden, small off-white head. Lean grainy and bready aroma. Flavour is bready and honey, quite sweet, minimal hop profile, minimal bitterness. Thin, light, slightly creamy, not cloying, moderate carbonation, abrupt lean finish.

Bottle. Metallic, damp, malt. Full, chewy, a bit on the sweet side, could be more crisp. Not undrinkable.

Rerate from bottle.
Malty, perfectly fine Helles, light sticky, chewy, basic hop counterpoint, normal.
Old rating 4 4 3 4 3.5 22.2.2002 Metallic hop nose. Golden, head stability is not too good. Strawlike malt base, a bit bitterhop afterplay and thats about it. Light body and watery exit. Cheap lager.

500ml bottle brought back from our trip to Germany. Pours a clear gold, white bubble bath foam atop. Aroma of pleasantly sweet malt. Nicely balanced, sweet malt profile, clean with a light bitter tickle. Lovely.

Plain gold in the glass, perfectly transparent. Medium sized white head, good enough retention and lacing. Average intensity in a very basic, clean aroma: grainy (straw, slightly cerealy), delicate grassy hints, perhaps the slightest hint of worty reminiscence (not unpleasant), an apple-like fruitish whiff. Taste notes follow the aroma, appleish fruitiness now a bit more clearly discernible, but still very mild. Again: average intensity, clean profile, very basic. Sweetness and bitterness are both mild, none stands out in both taste and aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with classicly delicate bavarian carbonation, drinks very smooth, perhaps even more than expected given the export-like abv. Overall: a very simple/basic helles; well made though, excellent drinkability, felt like less than 5.4% and ended up being a pleasant one.

0,5l bottle from Netto Marken-Discount in Mühlhausen im Täle. Head is big, egg-white, good retention. Colour is pale gold, clear. Aroma is malty, floral hops, bit bready, citrus touch. Taste is medium malty base, bready, light citrus, decent harmonic bitterness, vanilla touch, medium carbonation, finally really good beer today, enjoyed.

Bottle at the 'Back to the Roots Classic German Beer Tasting' session. I only took numerical notes while having this.
