A smooth beer, malty, buttery, a bit watery, discreet side of hop, fruity, peach, a good beverage for the spring, 20.01.2020, drinking it at Epalinges, buying it at Vasto.

330ml bottle from my local government controlled monopoly. Hazy amber pour, big rocky white head. Interesting aroma. Grassy hops, cloves, citrus, and an almost hefe like yeastiness. Flavor is quite hoppy, light pepper, and more subtle spices. Finish is quite bitter, the spices fall off and the hops come forward. A little heavier than i expected but still a nice quaff.

Bottiglia. Il naso vira verso lo speziato. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata, permanendo in maniera apprezzabile. Il mantello birroso superiore resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di aspetto opalescente. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso e c'è anche una punta di umami. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevolissimo. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, frutta secca, fiori, erbaceo, agrumi, pompelmo, camomilla, pepe bianco, mela, erbe aromatiche, frutta passita e mandorla fresca.

From tap at Stadscafé Het Refter, Zwolle. Herbal garden aroma with yeast, soft citrussy notes, chamomile, floral suggestions, lots of herbs. Mild sweet, light bitter flavour. Body is medium. Refreshing herbal Saison.

16 September 2020. At Draft & Dreams, Bologna. Shared with the lovely Anke! Clear golden, huge, frothy, white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of apple peel, pear, citrus, breadcrust, white pepper, clove, unripe banana. Taste has sweetish apple & banana, spicy core of pepper & clove over bready maltiness. Peppery hoppy finish, quite spicy & yeasty, low wheaty sourness & subtle fruit. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Surprisingly decent & quenching.
