Arise & Cease is a rad little hoppy beer inspired by Belgian grisette. Brewed with lots of oats as well as a base of floor malted English spring barley, it was well hopped in the kettle and during fermentation in an open oak tank. Like grisette, it was bottled young and served fresh.

Hazy, quite pale. Thin head. Light brett, with a clean pale malt note on the nose. This is clean, nice malt, with a touch of brett... there's not much nuance here; it's just an excellent and clean grisette.

750ml (thx, Josh!) @ Salesforce. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: bugs, farmhouse notes, some herbs and flowers. Taste: along the same lines, some bitter and floral notes. Overall: there is some nice Brett, but overall it's just ok.

2023 vintage. 750mL bottle, pours a cloudy pale golden blonde with a medium white head. Aroma has a nice buggy wild yeast character, rustic saison yeast, and toasted grains. Flavour is fairly light, with rustic saison yeast, washed out hay, and dry spiciness. Finishes dry, rustic, and lightly spicy. Not the most complex, even for a 4.4% saison, but it's a bit lacking depth. Good, but not amazing.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle dated 3/27/2018. Aroma is rather floral and fruity with a light earthy mustiness. Pineapple, lemon and stone fruit with some yarrow and other floral notes. Light grain notes. Pours a fairly clear, brilliant gold with a large, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Medium light lacing and no legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light grain notes. Medium light bitterness and acidity. Floral and herbal hop notes of yarrow and lemon verbena. Light pineapple, stone fruit and lemon notes. Light mineral notes. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice beer. I really like the hop notes and how they work with the base beer. Nice yeast notes also compliment the hop notes.
