Poptones started life as a hoppy pale ale fermented with clean ale yeast to which we added our house farmhouse cultures for a long, slow secondary fermentation in stainless steel to really coax the funk from our bouquet of bretts. Dry hopped with Saphir before bottling.

Really nice. Perfect example of a saison style. It lingers and … makes you wanna drink another!

Poured from 500mL bottle (w/ the brewnosers). Lightly hazy bright gold with small white head. Nice light funk quality, not a ton of depth, but decent.

A hazed golden ale with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with resinous hops, Brett, light lactic notes, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with loads of Brett, ground cherry, light lactic notes, very nice and smooth. Bottle from June 2018.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with excellent retention and great lacing. Aroma of rustic malt with light peppery yeast with some funky notes is quiet sublime. Taste is also a nice mix of rustic malt, peppery yeast notes funky notes with light fruity Brett notes also perceptible. Body is about average for style with great level of carbonation. Easily drinkable with nice balance mix of flavours and complexity.

Draught at Dageraad, Burnaby
Hazy blond colour. The aroma is mild, light manure and barrels, very light white wine. Dry mouthfeel, boring malt base, mild but clear buttery note, that may be a fresh chardonnay oak barrel, short and weak final.
Not convincing.

Hazy, pale. Thick. Dusty yeast. Nice pale malt note. Touch of tartness. Tasty.
