This beer is an amalgamation of styles; brown/porter/APA. Five distinct malts, including two from Belgium, give this beer added complexity and depth. We also add oatmeal to this beer to give it a smooth texture not usually associated with this type of beer. We add large amounts of American finishing hops to give Bender a citrus hop aroma because... we like hops. This is a session beer weighing in around 5% alcohol and 25 IBUs. Grab one today, we think you will want another!

Can pours out a brown with some red highs topped with a tan head. Aroma is of sweet caramel malts, and a nice hop presents. Taste is more of the malts a little nut along with some bitter hops kick.

can, pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is brown sugar, toffee, and carmel malt. Delicious bitter sweet malt with notes of chocolate and coffee. Finishes slightly spicey with notes of clove and pepper. Really nice sessionable brown ale.

At a tasting, thanks David, small thick head, dark reddish colour with light brownish taints, aromas of tobacco and hints of grassy hops, flavours of nuts, oats and a touch of fruit and soap, strong hoppy bitterness which fades rather quickly and a light sweetness in the back. Strange beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks David C. Dark amber-brown color with a beige head. Nutty aroma with malt, flowery hops, some tropical fruits and pine needles. Bitter piney flavor with some sweet malt, bread, oatmeal and caramel. A pleasant bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Can from allendodd. Thanks loads! Pours a very dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aromas of chocolate and treacle. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavors of citrus/resin over nicely roasted malt. Treacle too. Very smooth brown ale. But with lots of flavor. Finishes with a nice level of bitter on the rear tongue edges. Good beer.

Draught at Ike’s, Minneapolis airport. Dark brown with orange and a fine, tan head. Aroma of dark fruits and chocolate. Flavor of roasted chocolate, caramel, thick malt; fruity too, with a tart touch and a roasty finish, with some bitter hops and a reasonably full mouth. Nice stuff.

Tap. Poured dark brown with a dark creamy head. Aroma consisted of mainly dark hops, hints of coffee, caramel and a sweet cream smell. The flavor began surprisingly bitter, though by no means aggressive. The beer then transitions into a pleasant malty flavor, almost chocolate like.

Can with thanks to Dakzale. Pours the color of darkly stained cherry wood with a cola like head of a finger and aromas of earth and nuts. Flavor is very similar and very good. It is very nutty with a little bit of a woody edge to it. Mouthfeel is OK, but I think I would like it to be a bit thicker. As is, I would definitely take more of this, though.
