Named after the district of Birmingham that hosts the world-famous Jewellery Quarter and the location of the brewery, this delicious light golden ale is produced with a unique combination of malts and English bittering and aroma hops. The result is an ale that produces an immediate but controlled orange/lemon citrus flavour yielding to further but much longer fruit notes. This ale is a good quaffing ale but is also a good accompaniment to lighter meat and cheese dishes.

Bottle direct from the brewery. Golden clear amber pour with a thin white head and a little lacing. Not a heavy aroma but there is definitely some fruity maltiness in there. A citrus flavour with an appealing bitterness which will be liked by most people I'm sure. Won't win too many gold medals, but it's certainly a very tasty refreshing session ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
