Salty like the sea, and as sweet as the island residents, this salted caramel lager captures PEI in a bottle.

Savoury caramel, toasted, nutty malts, hints of grassy hops. Thin mouth feel, solid carb. Sweet finish, savoury, nutty caramel.

This in no way is a pale lager. Itβs amber & malty. A nice beer though and quite caramel-like. Collab variety pack

Can: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some residual sugar. Taste is also dominated by sweet caramel malt notes with some flavoured caramel notes offset by some salty notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Interesting mix though not sure I need to drink vast amount of this type of beers.

Pours an amber colour, clean, with a light beige warm head that disappear rather quickly leaving a thin collar. Barley malt nose with the caramel notes and cocoa powder. The taste shows the brown sugars with again the cocoa notes. Maybe hints of the vanilla in the finish. Not too sweet, so drinkable and the sea salt is a little too hidden. Other than that, a pretty decent dessert lager.

Can from the LCBO. Part of the Across the Nation Collaboration pack (2018, East). Clear dark copper with a small very short lived off white head.Nose is caramel plus some caramel and some light fruitiness and some more caramel on top of a light grain. Medium+ brown sugar sweetness with some vanilla and just a very light saltiness. Mouth is a touch thin with very soft carbonation. Not sure what this is supposed to be. 5/3/4/2/9

Modest foam and a very copper-brown body that's clear with no bubbles. I swear I smell toffifee, you know those candies that come out around Christmas - lots of caramel and toffee, brown sugar, all the rest. The flavour is hallowe'en candy, that toffee stuff or tootsie roll even, lots of sugary molasses there. Slightly watery finish. Not a fan of the big sweetness in this one but it could work on some levels.

Mooch tasting, can
Golden colour. Took me by surprise; salted caramel has no place in anything that is not an Imperial Stout; the beer qualities are undetectable, it's sweet, caramelly, toffee notes, a bit nutty in the finish with artificial vanilla notes.
Not too bad, but unnecessary.

341mL can, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma is very artificial, with plenty of artificial caramel and vanilla. Flavour is quite repulsive, with artificial caramel and vanilla. This is fairly rank and pointless. Very bad.

Medium amber. On the nose, I'm not actually getting a whole lot. Artificial caramel, not much else. Just a touch of salt. Really unsure what the point of this beer is.
