Bottle sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Citrus and grassy hops with just a hint of caramel. Not bad.

Deschutes is fast becoming one my favorite brewers, first Chainbreaker, now this. Hazy golden with silky head, thick lacing and active fine carbonation make for a beautiful beer. Aroma is light but taste come on with a nice light malt profile and minor hops presence. The whole package makes for a smooth and easily drinkable beer.

5% bottle from Sugaya. Deep yellow, almost orange pour with a white head that dissipated fast with minimal lacing. A pleasant hop aroma wafts from the glass, citrus, mint, pineapple, fruity. The taste is pretty good, sweet & fruity, some biscuity quality from the malts, a touch of mint & a bready mouthfeel. A pretty decent beer, nothing to write home about but you’ll get no complaints from me. A good beer for chilling out on the porch after a day at work on a mild summer day...

From Jun 2006

Poured from 12oz bottle a hazy yellow gold with a smallish head of foam that shrank quickly leaving just a broken fine layer.

The smell is a good nose of citrusy hops.

The taste is hoppy; notes of grapefruit, lime and grass dominate the palate with just a bit of malt sweetness in the background and...the finish is quite dry and crisp.. Hmmm...this one's quite the tasty APA and the drinkability factor is definitely there with its low ABV. Another summer thirst quencher found for sure. ;^)

So its old, a summer ale. Twilight is practically all we get here anyhow around the first of the year. Pour looks like an almost clear hefe. Smell is hoppish. Quite strong in hops for asummer ale. Not over the top. Seems like less than 5%. Goes down fairly easy. Hops never really become nagging but it gets close. Lacks the typical negative ale finish but it tries to get there.

Bottle, 8C. Orange with a white head that fades a bit. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, flowers, caramel. Light-bodied. Sweet with caramel, mandarins, hints of tropical fruit , balancing bitterness with lingering pine and citrus, a slight soapiness that may just mean it’s a bit past its best (right season, wrong hemisphere). But refreshing and pleasant.
