On tap at La Fine Mousse, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted malt, plenty of earthy piney hops, and a touch of coffee. Flavour is very balanced and smooth, with lots of roasted malt, a healthy hop dosing, and a touch of coffee. Dry, nicely bitter and roasted. Excellent.

Aroma of roasted malt, tropical fruit, some coffee, hops. Flavour is bitter. Not the most complex or full BIPA, but this tasty beer went down well.

On tap at The Rake, Borough Market. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Nose is dark berry jam, citrus & light smoky notes. Taste is bitter chocolate, dark berry jam & bitter citrus. Roasty, jammy bittersweet flavour. Coffee accented burp. Solid cascadian brew.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Dark brown body with a few chunks floating beneath a thick beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of fig roll, caramel, earth and ginger. Flavour of rye bread, ginger and pine. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I wanted to love it but it’s just solid. There’s an unusual ginger note to it, and the chunks are a bit off-putting.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, roastyness, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, coke, citrus fruit, light sweet, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty and hoppy choco citrusy bitter finish with light alcohol warming notes. Good.
